Save the Dates!

Five years ago, the HHA brought people together for its first conference, ‘Home Heaven Hell’. All reports say what a stimulating event it was for homeowners and those involved with historic houses. In October 2023, we will host our second conference, 'A Sense of Place', addressing a range of topical themes, presenting case studies as well as a tour to historic places.

The Scots College at Bellevue Hill in eastern Sydney has generously offered the HHA use of its facilities for two days of presentations on Thursday 5 and Friday 6 October (with tours scheduled for Saturday, 7 October.).

Whilst we have already confirmed a number of speakers, addressing topics such as climate change, resources for discovering information, the hidden contributors to historic houses and the challenges of maintaining historic properties, we do need your ideas on what subjects you think will be of most interest/relevance, as well as your suggestions for speakers. We especially hope to attract both speakers and delegates from outside Sydney and NSW.

Please contact the Conference Committee, chaired by John Wade - jwade@hha.net.au or call 0400 674 466 - with your suggestions, for further information, or to become involved.

We look forward to sharing regular updates on the 2023 Conference agenda as further details are locked in, and we'll be in touch the moment registrations have opened so you can secure your place!
