About the event
Enjoy a glimpse into the Edwardian era with the next walk in our Point Piper series.
From Seven Shillings Beach, gain rare access to the grounds and common area of 'Danmark', a 1907 mansion built for merchant John Paul Esq., who named it after his homeland.
Walk the lower parts of Wolseley Rd and Buckhurst Ave before admiring Dunara Gardens and ascending Wentworth Street to the highest point on the peninsula.
On the way, learn about the many Scottish connections of Point Piper and hear stories of famous families such as the Mackellars, MacCormicks and Binnies.
Inspired again by 'Point Piper Past and Present' by G.Nesta Griffiths, first published in 1947, this walk takes in some of the gems of Sydney. Please note the walk features stairs, hills and narrow paths. COST: $35 Members, $45 Non-Members
