About the event
‘Edina’ was home to three generations of a wealthy, religious family with a unique lifestyle. As a descendant, Michael tells stories of the people who lived there between 1859 and its transfer to the Methodist Church in 1922.
This sense of personal connection brings the tour to life; it’s about the people as well as the house and a golden opportunity to explore part of Sydney's history.
Michael is the author of 'Family, Faith and Fortune in Victorian Sydney - The Edina Estate' and the great-nephew of Professor E G (Gowrie) Waterhouse of ‘Eryldene’.
