Combewood

WHAT

Queen Anne

WHERE

Penrith

WHEN

1890

Combewood is an excellent example of a Queen Anne style house. Built in 1890 for Francis Henry Woodriff, on land granted to Captain Daniel Woodriff in 1804. Located on the corner of Castlereagh Road and Coreen Avenue, Penrith, the house is privately owned by 8th generation descendants of the original owner. The house, grounds and drive demonstrate a class of wealthy families in the region. The property is unique in the Penrith area for its historic associations with Captain Daniel Woodriff, a significant naval officer.
