Nutcote - Neutral Bay

Nutcote and its garden is a place of exceptional cultural significance as the home, workplace and source of inspiration of May Gibbs, Australia's first woman cartoonist, painter, naturalist and children's author and illustrator.
Nutcote also holds significance due to its association with prominent architect B.J.Waterhouse, who designed the house in close collaboration with May Gibbs (Tanner & Assoc 1993:33).

Located at 5 Wallaringa Avenue, Neutral Bay, Nutcote offers tours of the house with its delightful cottage garden, tea rooms and gift shop.

Opening times:  Wednesday to Sunday from 11am to 3pm.

HHA members receive free admission.
